Getting Involved
The best way to get involved is by connecting with people is before or after service or by getting involved in one of our many helps ministries. The City Church is where you make friends and become family, and get the support you need through the week.
There are many ways to be a part of The City Church and many ministries that would love to have your help. And we want to see you planted, serving and prospering in the house of the Lord.
This website gives an introduction to our departments and services, so have a look around and see where you think you would best fit in, then give a call to the person who heads that department or the church office. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
the four-fold Focus
Winning the lost
We will win the lost by prayer, training, personal invitation and intentional evangelism. Our goal will be to mobilize every member to be involved in some aspect of personal evangelism. We will provide the members with the tools and training they need to confidently share the gospel and invite people to church.
Making disciples
We will make disciples using teaching classes (traks), personal relationships and small groups. Our goal will be to develop devoted followers of Jesus Christ who are strong in prayer, faith, the word, the Holy Spirit and Christ like character.
Training and multiplying leaders
The training and multiplying of leaders determines the growth of the church. Our goal is to raise up and train leaders who are winning souls, making disciples and developing other leaders. These leaders will have the character and devotion to the Lord Jesus and the church that we want to reproduce in the members.
Planting churches
Our long range goal is to develop satellite churches in the immediate Central Coast region that cause us to be one church in many locations and to plant other churches up and down the California coast using church planting teams.
